Being “On Call”within any organisation can be daunting at the best of times. Many staff are new to role, recently promoted and have not been trained to undertake this important position. This course will build confidence with your local “On Call”procedures, business continuity and Major incident plans.

At GSB our training staff have a lifetime of lived experience operating within organisations “On Call” at Operational, Tactical or Strategic command level. GSB Incident Command training is aimed at all levels of leadership.

Delegates will be exposed to realistic scenarios bespoke to your organisation, built in consultation with you. A legal professional specialising in emergency response will support this training. In addition to civil contingencies legislation delegates will learn how to maintain professional logs and record decisions.

The ‘engine room’ of any major incident response is the Tactical Commander and their team.

This course is specifically designed to expand the knowledge and increase the confidence of tactical commanders. Gaining ‘grip’ of a situation, being prepared, providing fast time direction in the first moments of a crisis. Understanding role, responsibilities, establishing an effective command structure and leading a Tactical Coordination Group.

The Multi Agency Tactical Coordination Group should drive activity in the response phase of a major incident.

This course is aimed at Local Resilience Forums who wish to invest in their Tactical Commanders, improve their multi agency response to major incidents. Delegates will improve their knowledge in relation to; being prepared, acting at pace, risk assessment, setting initial working and bringing calm to chaos in the initial hours of a major incident.
