This one-day refresher is designed for experienced Tactical Commanders and Local Resilience Forum partners who want to revisit core principles, refresh their confidence, and ensure their skills remain sharp through classroom and bespoke exercise activity.
What is included
Delegates will: • Revisit the roles and responsibilities of Tactical Commanders within a multi-agency response • Applying the JESIP principles • Practice rapid decision-making, structured risk assessment, and setting initial tactical objectives • Strengthen their ability to bring clarity and calm in the early hours of a major incident • Develop techniques to drive activity at operational level and brief professionally and succinctly to strategic leaders.
This training will include a locally based major incident exercise of your choice, linked to your risk register and developed in consultation with your organisation to ensure we test your plans, maximise learning and deliver the outcomes you require.
