An effective Tactical Coordination Group (TCG), ‘The Engine Room’, is critical in driving activity during the response and recovery phase of a major incident.
What is included
This course is designed for Local Resilience Forums seeking to strengthen their Tactical Command capability and enhance multi-agency coordination.
Delegates will build confidence and expertise in:
• Preparing for and leading an effective multi-agency response • Applying the JESIP principles • Acting decisively and at pace in the early stages of an incident • Conducting risk assessments and creating an initial working strategy • Bringing clarity and calm to complex, high-pressure situations • Chairing or attending a TCG with increased knowledge and confidence
This training will include a number of small exercises plus a larger, realistic, locally based major incident exercise of your choice. This will be linked to your risk register and developed in consultation with your organisation to ensure we test your plans, maximise learning and deliver the outcomes you require.
